About the Team OpenAI’s IT organization supports the mission of deploying artificial general intelligence (AGI) for the benefit of all. Our team is committed to providing seamless technological support and solutions to ensure that all OpenAI employees are well-equipped and connected. This enables them to contribute effectively towards our AI research, corporate operations and product initiatives. About the Role As an ITAV Deployment Engineer at OpenAI, you will deliver the audiovisual systems for new offices, expansions, and refresh projects. You will turn approved designs into installed, configured, and tested systems, coordinate integrators and site dependencies, and carry defects through verified closeout. Your coordination begins at project inception and continues through delivery, commissioning, and acceptance by the receiving support team. You will partner with ITAV Engineering on design decisions, Network Engineering on connectivity, and Workplace and Capital Builds on site readiness and delivery timing. In this role, you will: - Deliver assigned AV build packages for new offices, expansions, and refreshes using approved designs, room standards, and installation requirements. - Coordinate the ITAV workstream for office construction projects from inception through delivery, partnering with Capital Builds, Network Security, and Workplace Design and Construction to align requirements, schedules, dependencies, and handoffs. - Review drawings, equipment lists, site conditions, and integrator plans; identify missing prerequisites and raise design exceptions before installation. - Coordinate equipment staging, installation sequencing, vendor deliverables, and site access with integrators, Workplace, Capital Builds, and ITAV program partners. - Configure conferencing endpoints, Q-SYS controls and audio processing, and AV-over-IP connections to match the approved design. - Prepare accurate device and port records and coordinate IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and conn
